Konporta Kirol Elkartea is a sports club created in Donostia – San Sebastian, on June 11, 1997, registered under the name Konporta Kirol Elkartea in the register of associations and federations in the Basque Country under the number 2533. Its main objectives are inserted mainly income sports (Konporta KE Igeriketa), sports education and leisure and free time (Tin-Tin Zurriola).
The swimming section was created in January 1999, with the idea of developing federated swimming, master swimming and swimming activities for athletes with motor disabilities. During the winter, training takes place at the municipal facilities of Donostia – San Sebastian, mainly at the Anoeta 50 m pool and at the Benta Berri gym.
In December 2002 he was co-creator of the Guipuzcoan Sport Federation for the Disabled, registering the adapted sport section, in the register of the Basque Government.
In our Konporta Surf section we try to learn how to surf in a healthy and fun way, in direct contact with the sea and its different components, continuously educating students to feel safe in an unstable environment. Basics about the different materials and their correct care and use – surfboards, bodyboards, fins, events, longboard, SUP, surf suit …
We try to give importance to the group and that there is a good harmony within it, trying to reward (at different levels) the attitude and effort to strengthen the individual self-esteem of each one.
Safety is something that should always be present at all times, for this reason we seek to provide a service of maximum quality and safety, promoting groups with a maximum of 4 students per teacher, and a monitor may even be present to assist and support when students are between 5 and 8 years old.
Our coaches are duly certified and are accompanied by interns. Our Club also operates during the winter, where we try to continue training and training in other periods of the year.
Leading this project is Haritz Mendiluze, a certified GSF technician (GIPUZKOAKO SURF FEDERAZIOA), who is also the one who supervises the Interns. His curriculum includes the role of competition director in more than a dozen events, where the direction for 3 consecutive years (2008-2010) of the VANS PRO JUNIOR, ASP junior event (the current WSL), stands out. He collaborated as a technician with EHSF (EUSKAL HERRIKO SURF FEDERAZIOA) in the different clinics and concentrations that the federation organized.
